LMS Trouble Shooting - Recreating Configuration File after Receiving "there is an error in xml document (0, 0) root element is missing" error
First we navigated to the DGI Warehouse users roaming folder
In general, this will be the person who logs into the machine. The file path is C:\users\<USER NAME> \appdata\roaming\pathGuide
There you will find the Manifestconsole.user.settings. Below is a screenshot of my test system for reference.
Delete the file. No worries here a new one will be created once we setup manifest again.
Once deleted start up the LMS station. This will throw an error a few times just click ok until you can see the login prompt with the setup button.
lick setup, you may get another error and thats fine it does a
preconnection check which will throw an error until you correct the URL
on clicking setup you will see the screen below. Change the web URL to reflect the server IP rather than localhost.
then set the interface to reflect P21 from the drop down.
* Note for the user it doesn't need to be SYSMGR any valid UserID that has permissions should be able to complete this.
then click ok
At that point the user should be able to log in as normal but you will need to set the profile
once they login they will get the station settings below.
This is from my test system and yours will have different information
Choose the dropdown for the system profile. I believe I only saw 1 for your system.
then choose the station profile. that would be for whatever station profile your fixing.
Click ok and the station will reload as normal.
If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me or anyone in the support department.
